Course objective Acquiring knowlelge of radar and ARPA basics. Gaining practical skills in radar information decryption and analysis, including work with indication block, false data detection, sea clutter, etc.
Course content
- The International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS)
- Operation of ARPA system
- Radar plotting performance
- Use radar to avoid collisions or close encounters
- Plan and co-ordinate search and rescue
- ARPA practical exercises on Ship Analytics (USA) simulator
Entry requirements All course participants must have certificate RADAR NAVIGATION, RADAR PLOTTING & USE OF ARPA (OPERATIONAL LEVEL)
Number of participants maximum 16 (4 per each bridge)
Course duration 5 working days
