Course objective   Course is intended for seafarers whose responsibilities connected with cargo and cargo equipment on tankers and with use of inert gas system.

  • Ship’s tank cleaning systems and equipment
  • Inert gas system main components construction and purpose
  • Inert gas blowers. Blowing and inert atmosphere control when gas-freeing operations
  • Deck hydraulic seal and non-return valve
  • Gas replacing in tanks methods
  • Gas outlet devices
  • Inert gas system supervising and control
  • Inert gas generating plant operation. Technical maintenance requirements
  • Environment pollution prevention and control
